ActionPlus Foundation works at the heart of the community to promote HIV health and wellbeing. This includes running community focused actions in the UK and in Africa. We are a faith based organisation, started in London in 1997. Our vision is a world where people living with and affected by HIV live a life free of poverty, ill health and discrimination.
On 29th of July 2023 we are inviting you to join our summer event “HIV Prevention, Yesterday, Today and the Future”. The event will focus on promoting HIV testing, treatment and support for people in the African community in south London. To celebrate this event we are launching an appeal to raise £5,000 to help us continue running our UK based activities. To give a donation to our appeal please follow this link.
On the day of the event there will be access to HIV testing, advice and counselling, and an opportunity to link with other health care professionals. To run the event we are teaming up with our partners from HIV Prevention England, Terrence Higgins Trust, Africa Advocacy Foundation, AIDS Healthcare Foundation UK, Brook, Metro and others.
The summer event will happen on Saturday 29th July between 12 and 4pm, in the AMSEC Centre, our new administrative centre 206-208 Stewarts Road, London SW8 4UB. The event will include:
